Final Fantasy associated with the genre of JRPG ( Japanese Role Playing Game) has been very successful in Japan and other Asian countries, but in the US? Being the game is a JRPG and this is American how well with this game go over in the states. Granted the game has been released for years in the states and has been quite successful, but with more people jumping into the Western RPG types ( Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, ETC..) will people be interested in this?
It's safe to say America is a country dominated by the Wii and the 360, not a ton of room there for the PS3. Now the game is being ported over to 360 which will be a big selling point for the game, but besides the existing fan base who else will give this game a try? Not Johnie Jumpshot, Final Fantasy a very proven franchise just not sure how this game will be in the states.
